We flew to New York from Vienna in March 2015 in Austrian Airlines fairly new business class. On the journey there we flew the 777-200 jet and on the way back the 767-300.
The hard business class product is absolutely fantastic and the meal service by Do&Co with their onboard cook is second to none. Flying there the crew where attentive & friendly.
Flying back the crew seemed quite irritated and unfriendly - As a passenger I felt uncomfortable ordering drinks as the flight attended seemed to roll her eyes every time I needed something. I have experienced this many times in the past flying with Austrian and Lufthansa - some crews are fantastic and some not. The Lufthansa group needs to work on getting a consistent level of professionalism in their crew.
Overall I was very satisfied with both flights though it doesn't rival Qatars new Business Class hard product on their 787 and A380 jets or their service.
Until I have tested Lufthansas new Business Class I must say Austrians product is the best within the Lufthansa Group.
