Africa is currently home to 1.3 billion people; the world’s second most populous continent. With some of the most fertile people in the world, further growth is projected over the next 30 years and real estate is one area certain to benefit. Commercial real estate development in sub-Saharan Africa continues to experience upward growth. Rapid urbanization, and a rapidly growing middle class, re-location of businesses, and travel to Africa for business and tourism are driving demand for new and modern offices, hotels and retail malls.

With demand comes greater prices and some cities in Africa have become havens for investors in the real estate market due to the high profits on investments. The AfrAsia Bank Africa Wealth report of 2019 has identified some of the cities in Africa that have the most expensive real estate. The cities are ranked on their prices per square meter and in today’s video we will be listing 10 of the cities with the most expensive real estates.
