Beijing's top policy office on Hong Kong has condemned eight straight weekends of protests, saying violent activists must be punished. Speaking at a rare news conference, Mr Yang Guang, spokesperson for The Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, said the Chinese central government has been closely watching developments, and that the unrest has had a negative impact on Hong Kong's economy. Mr Yang also stressed that the "One Country, Two Systems" principle is the best way to govern Hong Kong.
