Ingredients: (Makes 28-34 Cookies!)
2 cups plus 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
12 Tbsp butter (1 1/2 sticks), melted and cooled until warm
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips divided
Directions:
1. Melt butter in the microwave and set aside to cool down.
2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
3. In a medium bowl mix together flour, salt, and baking soda with a whisk.
4. In a separate large bowl, beat the cooled down butter and both sugars with an electric mixer until well blended.
5. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla and mix again.
6. Add in the dry ingredients in two steps mixing until just combined.
7. Fold in 3/4 cups of the chocolate chips. (The dough will be soft!)
8. Scoop dough into balls about 2 Tbsp sized and place them on the parchment lined baking sheets. (Be sure to leave space because they will spread.)
9. Bake 10-12 minutes.
10. Remove from the oven and add 3 to 4 chocolate chips onto the top of each one, point side up.
11. Add the remaining chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl, and heat in 30 second increments, stirring each time until melted.
12. Spoon the melted chocolate into a zip lock bag and cut the very tip off. (You want to hole to be very small!)
13. Draw the spider legs onto each chocolate chip that you placed on top of the cookies! Enjoy!!!
