I picked up a big ass can of peach IPA from a local bottle shop. It's made by a manchester brewing company called Shindigger, here's what they have to say for themselves cos I cannae be fucked:
ShinDigger was born whilst Paul and I (George) were living together at Manchester University. We jointly invested our spare cash into a home-brewing kit. The beers were brewed in the kitchen and fermented in the basement of our student house. We soon began selling our beer at house parties. Back then, we were producing 50 pints a week. It was here the first seeds of ShinDigger were planted.
In Autumn 2013, armed with a small loan from the government we started delivering kegs to bars around Manchester out the back of Paul’s banged up hatchback.
We do what's called shadow brewing. This means we don't actually own a brewery. We develop our own recipes on our own pilot kit. And then brew them on another brewery's spare capacity. At the moment we work closely with 3 partner breweries, all based in the North West.
To date we have released over 15 beers that are available from Glasgow to Brighton. We currently brew 50,000 pints per month.
The name ‘ShinDigger’ embodies our ethos that beer is about having a good time with your friends and enjoying the moment.
