The Buddha is seated with his flowing robes covering both his shoulders and cascading down to cover his legs. The robes form a large U-shape leaving his chest bare. His hands rest in his lap in the dhyana mudra of mediation. The meditating hand position is slightly different than normal with his thumb and forefinger touching. He has a beautiful demeanor with a large smile on his face and pronounced eyebrows. There is a large protuberance or ushnishna on the top of his head which denotes his higher consciousness. He also has a third eye or ajna chakra on his forehead. He was hand carved from one block of lava stone and completely one of a kind, perfect for instilling a sense of calm in ones garden.
