Within the German disaster management system, the German Red Cross disaster services serve the purpose of providing help to those who are in an emergency situation, but who do not need immediate acute medical treatment.
In the course of deployments, disaster services are increasingly confronted with very individual needs of affected persons. Networking and cooperation with other local stakeholders can be a way of providing help on a needs-oriented basis. In so doing, German Red Cross disaster services can strengthen community resilience during crises and disasters.
