In this video I demonstrate how I make a CATT Acoustic model for a simulation of rail traffic noise on the facade of a residential building. This is an open room acoustic model that will be used alongside another model that predicts the noise exposure of the facade. Because the gallery has a semi-diffuse sound field, CATT acoustic is used to complement the other model. In the later process, the geometrical elements of the facade will be modelled, and controlled parametrically to find a suitable facade design that results in an acceptable noise level at the gallery.
