Surah Al-Ala is the 87th chapter of the Quran, consisting of 19 verses. It is a Meccan Surah, meaning it was revealed during the early period of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) prophethood while he was still preaching in the city of Mecca.
The Surah takes its name from the first word of the first verse, "Sabbi hisma rabbikal a'la," which translates to "Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High." The Surah begins with a call to glorify and praise Allah, acknowledging His supreme power and majesty. The Surah then goes on to describe the fate of those who reject the message of the Quran and the truth of Allah's existence.
