Grand Rapids police have released body camera clips from an officer involved shooting on Thursday, August 25, 2022. An adult male suspect was shot multiple times and seriously injured but is expected to survive. At approximately 1:45 a.m., two Grand Rapids police officers were called to the scene of a suspect looking through parked vehicles on the 1300 block of Forrester St. SE. Grand Rapids police say the body camera videos show the suspect pointing a gun at officers when confronted.
The officers have been place on critical incident leave. The incident is under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
