In the vast desert of Western Australia, radio telescope history is about to be made.
After years of testing and building pilot projects and ‘pathfinders’, work has begun on the “Square Kilometre Array-Low,” one of two telescopes that will revolutionise the way we see the Universe.
Cosmos Science journalist Jacinta Bowler travelled to the site of where the SKA will soon stand, Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara – the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory, to find out more about the area and the technology that will help scientists explore the depth of time and space.
