India's top court has slammed the government's inaction as New Delhi continues to choke under toxic smog. The Supreme Court has said that ad hoc measures will not help. After a few days of respite, air pollution levels in the capital are back in the hazardous zone. Last week, all schools and colleges were shut indefinitely, non-essential vehicles were barred from entering New Delhi and construction work was halted.
