Saint Hermione is the daughter of the Deacon and Evangelist Philip and one of the very first Holy Unmercenary Healers. Because of her example and her love for Christ, the Early Christians invented the first full-scale hospitals and other institutions to care for the sick, the poor, the widows, and orphans.
