The tea leaves are made of large-leaf variety black tea buds that covered with gold downy fuzz. The tea buds are bundled into cone. Looks like a small pagoda or snail.
Each tea cone is a bundle of around 3 gram tea leaf. 1 piece tea cone is enough to brew a nice cup of black tea. 2~3 tea cones for a 500ml teapot.
Once brewed, the tea cone gradually unfold into a chrysanthemum, yellowish brown in color. You don't need to worry about the annoying tea residue floating everywhere---the tea leaves are already bundled together.
