U.S. Mikaela Shiffrin, who is just 18 years old, made history in Alpine skiing when she became the youngest winner of an Olympic slalom gold medal. She had an impressive first run to win in one minute, 54 seconds. Mikaela stated: "I've been preparing for this my entire life." She beat our Marlies Schild from Austria, won came in 2nd to win the silver and Kathrin Zettel, also of Austria, wo came in third place to win the bronze.
