The Indian government has sought evidence from the Canadian government after PM Justin Trudeau claimed India's role in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. New Delhi also offered to cooperate in the investigation with Canadian authorities. The decision was taken after a high-level meeting of the foreign ministry and national security officers at the new parliament on September 20. India has also decided to brief its key allies like the US and Australia about both the emptiness of Trudeau’s charge and Canada’s tolerance and encouragement of terrorists and separatists working against India and Indian interests.
