Galaxy Z Slide rollable smartphone with extra screen part on the back
The patent called 'Elektronische Vorrichtung mit flexibler Anzeige' was applied for by Samsung Electronics at the Deutsches Patent- und Markeamt on April 29, 2021. The 36-page documentation was released on July 29, 2021 and is also included in the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) database.
It is a stylish rollable smartphone. In its most compact form you have a regular device in your hands, with a rounded screen on the left. On the back, the right half of the smartphone also has a display surface. Thanks to the narrow frame on the side, it seems to be two displays, but it is one large flexible screen.
If you need a larger screen surface, you can easily convert the phone into a tablet format. Seen from the front, the right side of the screen can be pulled out, after which you can enlarge the screen surface by approximately 40-50%. The user interface is automatically adapted according to how the device is put into use.
