Politicians and citizens came together on Monday in commemoration of the man regarded as modern Spain's founding father, former Prime Minister Adolfo Suarez. .
Three surviving ex-premiers were in attendance as Suarez's coffin was received in Congress by state authorities.
King Juan Carlos and his wife were also present.
