Surveillance video captured the coincidental moment a police officer happened to walk into a 7-Eleven right as it was being robbed.
The suspect initially approached the 7-Eleven cashier, brandishing a firearm and demanding money from the register. As the cashier was placing money into a plastic bag, Sergeant Hernandez coincidentally entered the store. The suspect then attempted to flee. However, the cashier alerted Hernandez to the robbery, at which point the officer chased down the suspect.
Hernandez was ultimately able to apprehend the suspect and return approximately $400 in stolen cash. The suspect was later arrested on robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon charges.
