"According to the ACS 5-year estimates for 2013-2017, the median household income was $57,652.
This new five-year ACS data allows for a comparison between the 2008-2012 period that included 18 months of the most recent recession and the 2013-2017 period of ongoing economic growth.
Nationally, median household income increased 1.9% between the two five-year periods."
