"Almost Persuaded" was written by Billy Sherrill and Glenn Sutton. David Houston had a huge hit with "Almost Persuaded" in 1966. The song earned Houston a Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording and spent 9 weeks at number 1 on the country charts.
