Roosevelt House will host a panel discussion, “Politics of Gentrification: Investment, Displacement and the Fight for the Future in Greenpoint and Chinatown,” which picks up on a recent series of Issue Briefs on affordable housing in New York City. Speakers include Roosevelt House Faculty Associates Peter Kwong, Ida Susser and Margaret Chin, among others. Spanning anthropology and urban studies, the discussion will include both ethnographic observations and political analysis.
