The electron configuration of copper and silver
In this video, I show how to use the diagonal rule (Madelung's Rule) order to figure out the electron configuration. Copper and Silver are exceptions to the normal rules. Instead of Silver having 5s2 4d9 the configuration for silver is 5s1 4d10.
Copper has a configuration of 4s13d10.
