This presentation was given on November 7th, 2022, to the Irish Chapter of the System Dynamics Society. It is based on the application of the System Dynamics model that Takuma Ono and I developed, which can be used to help prioritize efforts to improve the Sustainable Development Goal scores for any country. In this case, we applied the simulation to Ireland. We found that Ireland needs to improve their scores on SDG12 (Responsible Production and Consumption) and SDG13 (Climate Action). However, when using efforts to strengthen these SDGs, we found tradeoffs involved. Improving these SDGs is complex and may not be unilaterally the best approach for Ireland.
