Join my dog Atlas and I on our overland adventure through Death Valley. We made this journey in early January 2020 before Covid-19 restrictions. We made the trek in my 2004 SAS Toyota Tacoma, and were joined by Cody and Jessica in their 2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, and Anthony and Maida in their 1999 Toyota Tacoma.
We started this trip off on Saline Valley Rd and traveled over Hunter Mountain. From Hunter Mountain, we made our was past Teakettle Junction to camp our first night at the Lippencott Mine Campground. Day two took us through Lippencott Pass, the Saline Sand Dunes, the Palm Hot Springs, Steele Pass, Dedeckera Canyon and the Eureka Sand Dunes.
