This castle gained fame as the setting for the movie "Nobunaga's Castle" and is renowned for withstanding the water attack by Ishida Mitsunari, earning the reputation of an impregnable fortress. The city also boasts historical streets with preserved features like the former tabi (Japanese socks) warehouses. Furthermore, Gyoda has been frequently used as a filming location for dramas and movies, including "Shitamachi Rocket," "Rikuo," "Kamen Rider," and Super Sentai series.
