Six months after visiting Zechariah, the angel Gabriel appeared in Nazareth to Mary, a young, humble girl engaged to Joseph, a carpenter. Gabriel greeted her with a message of divine favor, announcing that she would bear a son named Jesus, the Savior and Son of the Most High, who would reign forever. Though puzzled, Mary humbly asked how this could happen since she was unmarried. Gabriel explained it would be a miracle through the Holy Spirit and mentioned her cousin Elizabeth’s miraculous pregnancy as proof of God’s power.

Mary, filled with faith, declared herself the Lord’s servant and accepted God’s plan. Overjoyed, she traveled to Judea to visit Elizabeth, who, filled with the Holy Spirit, greeted Mary as the mother of her Lord. Mary sang a song of praise, thanking God for His mercy and faithfulness to His promises. She stayed with Elizabeth for several weeks before returning home, rejoicing in the miracles unfolding.
