Cody a Basset Bordeaux was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia. It is believed his fist year of life he was taken away from his mom too young causing a weakened immune system. He was then savagely abused leaving scars on his body as well as some emotional scars as well. He was saved at the 11th hour before he was to be euthanized and he was heart worm positive. After being saved he was brought up to New Jersey where he was trained by New Jersey dog trainer Julie Watson, his former foster mom.
For the last 2 1/2 years ( 3 in February) Cody has been my constant companion, my side kick and all around best buddy. 2024 has been a hard year for us both and we both have had health set backs but through it all we have been each others biggest support.
