2. SOUNDBITE (English) Charlotte Tilbury, make-up artist, on the seasons trend for make-up:
"I do feel that this season there is much more of a trend towards colour. I feel like I'm much more into doing lipstick, and kind of gorgeous eye colours. You know we're in a recession, but the fact is, you know, we're not in a recession, we're not in a depression make-up wise, it's like let's have a bit of fun and put some colour back into our lives. But I do feel that every season there is that trend for neutral tonal, groomed, natural look and this is just a classic, so you know the clothes are quite strong, they just wanted the girls to feel quite naturally groomed."

5. SOUNDBITE (English) James Brown:
"At the moment the girls just have their hair up, in kind of like a bun, but that's, at the last second I'm going to take that bun out, just run my hands through it so it's just super, super simple, like a lovely, lovely soft texture to the hair. I want it to look sort of like the next day after they've washed it, so it just has a little bit of something going on, but not too much. It's very, very simple."

9. SOUNDBITE (English) Julien McDonald:
"It's amazing fabrication, you know, it's fur, it's matte and shine, my new embroideries, pieces of shattered glass, it's urban decay. If you run out into a street, what you see in the street, you see smashed glass, smashed glass as if she's almost picked up the glass off the street and shoved it on her dress and body. It's about outside elements mixed with new couture feelings."

STORYLINE
MACDONALD'S MOODY COLLECTION
Julien Macdonald tried to sex up London Fashion Week on Monday (23 FEB 2009) where the Welsh designer showed a collection implying a dark and dangerous mood.
On the catwalk there was a nod to the forties as models wore figure-hugging short skirts with exaggerated shoulders, either peaked, slit or studded with sparkling details.
Long-haired fur coats with large collars promised warmth when worn over something skimpy, while jackets were nipped in at the waist.
Trousers were super-skin tight and teamed with buckled heels that covered the front of the foot.
Knitwear was black cobweb, woven tight around the body and kept short on length on either woollen dresses or asymmetric tops.
Colour-wise things were kept dark, plenty of top to toe black or faded grey with the odd splash of emerald green and a few rich blue pieces.
And it wouldn't be a MacDonald collection without some glitz, sparkled embroidery or encrusted coloured mirror:
"If you run out into a street, what you see in the street, you see smashed glass, smashed glass as if she's almost picked up the glass off the street and shoved it on her dress and body. It's about outside elements mixed with new couture feelings," MacDonald explained.
Chatting backstage, make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury described the look as "naturally gorgeous".
They're banishing winter washed out skin to make models slightly honey-toned, healthy, groomed and glowing to balance out the strength of the clothes.
As for the hair, Kate Moss' favourite coiffeur James Brown kept it simple with long locks loose and flowing after Julien asked him to keep it natural.
