A large blaze in a four-storey building near Liverpool city centre engulfed the sky with black smoke yesterday. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) said there had been no reports of casualties and more than 50 firefighters had attended the blaze. The building was evacuated and nearby roads were temporarily closed.
