If for whatever reason you don't want to wear full-on historical fashion every day, you don't have to sacrifice your love for all things archaic. Historybounding, a style of dress that involves pulling elements from history and seeing how they can transform a contemporary wardrobe, can be done to different degrees of extremity. Some individuals prefer to pull extensive inspiration from history, while others may want to only include subtle elements.
This video teaches you how you can take any outfit (yes, that includes contemporary outfits!) and make it feel more historical. The second video I ever released on this channel somewhat covered this topic, but in the past six months my knowledge has expanded, so I wanted to make a far more in-depth guide.
This video covers many aspects of historical dress, including accessories, shoes, and garments themselves, offering up methods for making them all feel a bit more like historical clothing. While this information can probably be applied to any era of history, since my primary area of research is 18th century and 19th century, I try to focus in on these periods primarily.
This list is by no means all-encompassing, so please do share down in the comments below if you have any other tips for how to make a garment feel more historically inspired.
Thank you so much for watching!
