Shirley moved to Speke from Wavertree in 1998 with her husband and four daughters, pregnant with her fifth child. A year later, SLH was formed and took over her home, a place that she and her husband later chose to buy and make their own. Since then, it has become the hub of an extended family, who have all chosen to make Speke their home.
