This SMPTE webcast presents an integral workflow system for mastering HDR content for theatrical and home distribution. The foundational building blocks are SMPTE Standards ST 2084, ST 2086, and the ST 2094-X suite. The definitions and use of these standards in support of HDR content creation and distribution will be examined with an emphasis on the methods enabling visual consistency across displays with a broad range of characteristics. Finally, examples of these building block standards working with other international standards in current ecosystems will be reviewed.
