Quick tutorial on how to remove stem and crown from most mechanical movement.
1. Locate dimple or small pusher, usually near where the stem enters the movement. Often has a small arrow pointing towards it. If not, pull the crown in and out and look for movement in holes and crevices. Whether the stem has to be pulled to time-setting mode or be pushed in for it to release varies. Some stems can be released from all positions.
2. Push the dimple gently and pull out the stem. If you have to use force you are doing it wrong. Breathe easily and try again!
