Indonesian troops stormed a peaceful demonstration by some 1,500 East Timorese students in Jakarta on Friday (12/6) and forced the protestors into waiting buses, witnesses said. The troops waded into the protestors, who had been picketing the foreign ministry to demand self-determination for East Timor.
