US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed the former national security official and loyalist Kash Patel as the head of the FBI.
Mr Patel has previously criticised the FBI, calling on leadership and employees who are refusing to support Mr Trump’s agenda to be fired.
He became a controversial figure after supporting the President-elect’s stance over government surveillance as well as the deep state.
