This is the first part to the Rotary Table Chuck Mount Project series. We start off with the making of the Mounting Arbor, an MT3 taper to fit the center bore of the rotary table and 3/4"-10 thread for the adapter mounts. We will be using the Lance lathe and the Taper Attachment to cut the MT3 taper. I will be using another technique to setup the Taper Attachment by using a gage bar/rod mounted between centers. The Arbor is being made from 1" W-1 Drill Rod.
This project will allow me to use my two chucks from my 11 inch Logan Lathe, on my 10" Rotary Table. An 8" 4 jaw and a 6" 6 jaw Buck Adjust Tru, chucks with 2-1/4" - 8 mounting.
