Seth Howell, Intel, Corp.; Alexey Marchuk, Mellanox Technologies
Seth graduated from Arizona State University (United States) with a Bachelors degree in Computer systems engineering. He has been working at Intel Corporation since 2017 on the SPDK project. He got his start working on the Continuous Integration and automated testing for the project. Currently, much of his development time on NVMe-oF feature development. He also manages library architecture and versioning for the project.
Alexey works at Mellanox Technologies on SPDK porject, he is a member of SPDK core maintainers team. His area of interests is RDMA and NVMEoF optimizations. Alexey has experience in development of network protocols and in distributed machine learning - he participated in the development of Intel oneCCL library.
The Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) provides developers with everything they need to create blazing fast NVMe-oF initiators and targets. Come learn about what the SPDK open source community has created in this space - SPDK is a user-space toolkit focused on taking full advantage of today’s latest hardware using state of the art programming techniques. You’ll also learn about several recent innovations in the SPDK NVMe-oF RDMA transport to increase both performance and reliability including DIF/DIX support, port failover, and SEND and RECV operation batching. We’ll also take a look at the usefulness of using SPDK within the context of a hardware offload application.
