Applications for the city of Tampa's eBike Voucher Program will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, according to their website.

The city says the program is designed to help some city residents overcome "some of the existing barriers to eBike ownership" by providing an upfront discount towards the purchase of a new eBike.

“We wanted to reduce our carbon footprint and we also wanted to provide reliable, affordable, sustainable transportation,” said Austin Britt with the City of Tampa.
