I unearthed my old 3Dio binaural microphone to test out some ASMR triggers, old and new. Featuring 3D sound, soft speaking, close-up ear to ear whispering, hand sounds, ear cleaning with a Q-Tip, spray bottle and water sounds, plastic tapping, glass dropper sounds, scrunching and scratching sounds, page flipping and sticky note sounds. What is ASMR?

ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a relaxing sensation that can be described as "tingles" felt in the head, brain or scalp. People who experience ASMR report that it induces feelings of deep relaxation, calm, and can help in falling sleep. Common ASMR triggers include whispering, soft speaking, personal attention and care, tapping, scratching, hand sounds and hand movements, water and spray bottle sounds, ear massage and ear cleaning, and many more.
