ILPS-9.5Z, A Miniature, Light-Weight Linear Position Sensor designed for Tight Spaces where superior stroke-to-length ratio is required. This product offers reliable long-life operation utilizing LVIT linear variable inductance technology.
LVIT technology consists of a high-resolution inductive sensing coil element coupled to built-in smart electronics. A conductive tube referred to as the target rod travels through the coil element changing the inductance. The smart electronics then generate an analog output signal that is proportional to the change in stroke.
ILPS-9.5Z LVITs are frictionless devices that are used in a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, including drones, automation systems, assembly machinery, and packaging equipment applications where a dependable compact position sensor is required.
The ILPS-9.5Z is available in measuring ranges from .25 inches up to 6 inches with choices of analog voltage or digital output signals. Once a sensor has been installed, the proprietary SenSet™ range adjustment process permits a user to match the sensor’s zero and full scale output to the workpiece’s actual range of motion.
The housing is constructed of 9.5 mm O.D. corrosion resistant 300 series stainless steel, and rated to IP-67. ILPS-9.5Z LVITs have an excellent stroke-to-length ratio, making it ideal for application where space is premium . It’s through-bore design protects the sensor from mechanical over stroking.
