In this video, I talk about Overboost in cars. I explain the basics of overboost, and tell you exactly what it does to your engine. Overboost basically allows the turbo to produce more boost, and therefore more horsepower, during certain circumstances. The circumstances in which this happens will vary from one car manufacturer to the next; however, overboost basically temporarily increases hosepower and torque by increasing boost. There are virtually no risks to the engine because it is only a slight increase in the turbo's boost pressure.
