Welcome back to day 20 of our 54 day Rosary Novena. I'm your host Maritza Mendez. Thank you so much for joining us in prayer today, and if you're joining for the very first time, welcome to this beautiful family of prayer.

Family, today I want to reflect on the life of St. Augustine and the power of a mother's prayer. Before his conversion, St. Augustine struggled with many sins. He sought fulfillment and earthly pleasures and lived in ways that were not aligned with the Christian teachings. His life was marked by self-indulgence and a search for truth in places that ultimately left him feeling empty. But through it all, Augustine's mother, Saint Monica, demonstrated the profound power of persistent prayer.

As Catholics, we believe that a mother's prayer holds a special powerful place before God. Monica's relentless prayers for her son are a testament to this. She prayed without stopping, believing in the transformative power of God's grace. Her faith and dedication were eventually rewarded when Augustine embraced Christianity and transformed his life.

Blessed Mother, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, be with us in our prayers as we pray for the grace of peace, patience, and perseverance. We humbly request your intercession, lifting up the special intentions that reside within our hearts.

Mother, on this feast day of St. Augustine, we pray for the conversion of those who are far from the faith and for the strength to persevere in our own spiritual journeys. Blessed Mother, we pray for direction in our lives, health and healing, the protection and unity of our families, success in our careers and studies, abundant blessings and the conversion of our loved ones, and for the world to be drawn closer to God.

We pray for those who are celebrating a birthday in the month of August.
