Newmarch House aged care facility operators have been given until 5pm today to accept the appointment of a government approved manager or their operating licence will be revoked.
The move comes after a scathing review was handed down by the aged care commission which criticized the facility’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak and its communication with residents and their families.
Authorities have linked 66 cases and 16 coronavirus deaths to the outbreak at the aged care home.
