From Jan-Jun 2014, 35 cases of Paypal Email Scam was reported, with the amount cheated amounting to at least S$39K. Most of the victims consisted of online sellers who were cheated into mailing out items without payment. The online sellers had received fake ‘Paypal’ payment notification emails from scammers and believed payment had been made.
