With my recent racing seat installation, I found that in order to be track legal at my local road course, I would need to run 5 point racing harnesses at a minimum. While a roll bar would be better, I wasn't quite ready to weld one in. With that in mind, I opted for a harness bar despite their bad reputation. I found some harness bars are made of aluminum, certainly not strong enough to withstand the forces a harness bar should. Braum harness bars are made of a "high-strength steel" quoted from their website, so I trust they are up to the task. As you'll see in the video I found the harness bar mounting points were not ideal, especially since the mounts are able to move up without any release being activated. This was not okay with me, knowing my well-being was at stake. A quick mig weld took care of that and now the harness bar is mounted nice and solid, and the chassis feels stiffer and the car feels more responsive through the turns.
