Located in the traditional fishing village of Charlotteville, Tobago, the Environmental Research Institute of Charlotteville (ERIC) works towards sustainability for the people and ecosystems of North East Tobago. Alongside the institute, the ERIC Dive Centre offers dive training, coral reef ecology, survey and monitoring training, and dive excursions and expeditions with marine biologists for environmentally conscientious divers.
Lanya Fanovich has a Masters in Science and Management of Tropical Biodiversity and Biotechnology (UWI). She has worked as a camp counsellor and activity leader at the National Science Centre and was a lab demonstrator at the University of the West Indies. Lanya also worked as the assistant site manager for archeological excavations at the Parliment of Trinidad and Tobago.
