I’ve spent a number of years growing all different tomato varieties… searching for the best ones, and these are the ones I grow now year after year due to a combination of taste and disease resistance. I have another video dedicated to cherry tomatoes, this one is allll about those tomato sandwich tomato varieties 🍅

Easiest to grow award: early girl— it’s a easy disease resistant tomato that does in fact seem to ripen earlier than other varieties in my garden and has less seeds, so if your kids don’t like slimy tomatoes, they’ll probably like early girl. This is a basic tomato that I grow every year.

most instagrammable award: mortgage lifter. This heirloom variety grows huuuge tomato clusters and is rumored to have paid off the mortgage of the farmer that first introduced it to market. It’s not as disease resistant, but is tasty, and very show-off-able

Honorable mention award: black krim — my dad has amazing luck with these and he gardens down the street from me. That variety hates me garden and dies before I get much of a harvest 🤷🏻‍♀️ can’t explain it — but it’s tasty and worth a try if you don’t have root knot nematode soil issues like me 😫

Variety I’m trying next year: Purple Cherokee — because the amount of comments I responded to that recommended this variety is insane and now I have FOMO.
