Hello and welcome to launching a project. In this video, we'll go over a basic pre-launch checklist and show you how to get your project officially launched.

Launching a project is a major milestone in your deal process. Reviewing your project before launch will allow you to make your documents available safely and smoothly. To get started, the first place we'll review is the recycle bin. Because recoverable items in the recycle bin are billable after launch, if you no longer need these items, we recommend you delete them permanently.

The next place we'll review is the "Action Required" section. Any documents listed here are not visible in the data room. In this example, the PDF's password is preventing a secure viewer from opening the content.

Next, let's check our file room to see what's been published. Unpublished content isn't visible to users without admin or manage permissions.

Before launch, external users can only be saved as a drafted invitation. These drafts can be sent at the time of launch.

In the Permissions tab, let's review both the content access and the feature access sections. Double-checking permissions is important to confirm that the content is accessible to the right groups. Feature access allows roles to have additional control over the project. By default, roles are only allowed to download multiple files at the same time.

Now that we've briefly reviewed our project, let's launch. In the Settings tab, go to Project Status and click "Launch Project." Let's choose to send a drafted invitation and launch our project. The project phase will change from "Not Active" to "Active."
