Cod liver oil is one of the most commonly taken supplements. It's rich in fat soluble vitamins. So fat soluble vitamins mainly Vitamin A and Vitamin E are present in large quantities in cod liver oil. All Vitamins A, D, E, K are fat soluble vitamins and to some extent they are present but it's rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin E . So Vitamin A and Vitamin E are both good for the skin. So cod liver oil supplements can be taken on a regular basis. However if you eat seafood that is sufficient you don't need to take separate cod liver oil supplements. Also cod liver oil contains good type of fat called Omega fats. Omega fats are also found in other seafood. Those who are on a very strict diet not taking seafood or vegetarians can get this is Omega fats from nuts. So you can get it from walnuts, you can get it from flax seeds, you can get it from almonds and the same kind of Vitamin A vitamin E are found in these nuts which contain Omega fats. So those who are not able to take variety of these foods can always supplement with cod liver oil.
